CHALLENGE

What does it take to successfully scale a cleaning system implemented in some of the largest facilities in the country (Boeing, University of Texas, Sandia Labs etc.), to a multi-tenant corporate office environment in the heart of Washington, DC?

BACKGROUND

1700 K Street NW, a newly constructed, state-of-the-art, Class A building in downtown Washington, DC demands the best in cleaning services that will deliver consistent levels of service and also pass the “green” litmus test, that of offering an environmentally preferable cleaning processes.   

SOLUTION

USSI implemented an environmentally preferable, comprehensive green program, by adopting industry best practices such as the use of Green Seal certified chemicals and sustainable cleaning processes.

The primary focus of the cleaning system was to improve indoor air quality (IAQ) and deliver consistent levels of service. By providing our employees with ergonomic tools and equipment and training them in the  process, both on-site and at our training center, USSI has consistently delivered high levels of service.

RESULTS

The cleaning process at 1700 K Street was awarded green certification by a third-party evaluator of green processes and recognized  for reducing environmental harm.

Over 225 cleaning-related factors were evaluated by a third-party organization and benchmarked against the best in the industry.
