Tim Ruben
President & Chief Executive Officer

Tim Ruben joined USSI in 1994, and now serves as President and CEO. Before stepping up to his current position, he was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Previous to his time at USSI, Tim worked 14 years for IBM as a Business Unit Executive; he received a BA in Economics from Rice University, and an MBA in Quantitative Analysis from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Joel Felrice
Senior Vice President

Joel Felrice has worked for USSI since 1974, and is now Senior Vice President. Joel is responsible for all financial-related activities, accounting, purchasing, and administration. Before working with USSI, Joel was a CPA with Arthur Young and Company; he received a BBA and MBA from Pace University.

Skip Spurgeon
Vice President, Florida Division

Skip Spurgeon joined USSI in January 1997 and is currently the Vice President overseeing the Florida division of USSI. In his previous role at USSI, Skip was the Area Manager for Southwest Florida.  Prior to his time at USSI, Skip owned, operated and managed contracting businesses. Skip attended Michigan State University.

Vice President, Operations, Washington-Baltimore Region

Efrain Estrada joined USSI in January 2008 and oversees regional operations for the Washington-Baltimore region. With over 17 years of experience in the service sector, Efrain is responsible for managing customer and employee relations, operations personnel and ensuring efficient service delivery for the region. Prior to joining USSI, Efrain worked in various managerial positions for A&L Service Industries and UNICCO. Efrain attended the Universidad Nacional De El Salvador in San Salvador, El Salvador.

Kathy Ruben
Senior Business Development Representative

Kathy Ruben joined USSI, in her current role, in February 2007. With over 20 years of experience in the business services industry, Kathy oversees Business Development for USSI’s DC Metro and Baltimore region. Previously, Kathy managed the Operations and Client Services function at USSI. Prior to joining USSI, Kathy worked with BMR Enterprises, IBM and Arthur Andersen & Company. Kathy is a graduate of Miami University, OH.

Stephanie D. Nester

Controller

Stephanie Nester joined USSI in July 1996. In her role as Controller, Stephanie oversees payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and purchasing departments and is responsible for producing timely and accurate financial statements, as well as protecting USSI’s assets. Stephanie graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and is an active CPA licensed by the State of Maryland. She is also an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
