USSI's cleaning process is a customized cleaning solution, designed to address the unique needs of each facility. By adopting several industry best practices, USSI’s unique process creates not only a supremely clean building, but a healthy one.

In order to achieve success, USSI has worked to ensure top quality in every aspect of the cleaning process, including:

  • Employee training
  • Project planning
  • Proper tools and stock levels
  • Employee supervision

Employee Training

Holding these various aspects together is our philosophy of team cleaning instead of zone cleaning. Traditional cleaning involves a jack-of-all-trades worker assigned to a particular floor or quadrant. Instead of going with the simplest route, USSI provides the highest level of training to each employee, arming them with specialized knowledge and equipment.

Because each worker is a specialist, their schedule is planned out in advance, and each task has an indexed time associated with it. This allows not only for specialized service, but a high degree of optimization.

Read on to learn more about the profiling and indexing that takes place in preparation for successful cleaning, as well as the method by which USSI ensures top quality cleaning service.

Project Planning

A thorough project plan is critical to the successful implementation of any cleaning program. At USSI, project planning goes beyond cleaning operations, to other key areas such as human resources, client support, special tenant requirements and administrative support. Since every client and facility is unique, we have a customized implementation and management plan for each of our clients, with the sole objective of exceeding customer expectations.

Employee Supervision and Equipment

The most important way that USSI “supervises” cleaners is by providing the best possible training. Each cleaner goes through training sessions learning about their specialization, as well as how to properly handle and maintain tools and chemicals, with a significant emphasis placed on safety--both of the cleaner, and the general public. They are also trained in the job card system. The job card ensures that cleaners function as a team.

Finally, supervisors make sure that each building is prepared before cleaning begins. This responsibility includes ensuring that all of the tools and supplies are ready for the specialist at the start of each shift.
